Meet the Team
Rachelle Bojer, MSPT
Rachelle Bojer, MSPT, graduated from New York’s Mercy College in 2001 with a master of science in physical therapy and health science. Prior to founding Lotus Physical Therapy in 2012, Rachelle spent eight years as the director of physical therapy for Orthopaedic Associates of Manhasset, a large medical practice in Great Neck, New York, practiced early intervention for children ages 0-3 yrs., and sports orthopedics at a private facility in NYC.
Rachelle is passionate about women's health and wellness. She specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction issues throughout the lifespan. These issues can result from high level athletic/sports activity, childbirth, trauma, abdominal or pelvic surgeries, and hormonal changes. All sessions with her are private and held in strict confidentiality.
Rachelle’s experience and expertise in pregnancy-related issues propelled her to develop Core Connection, a program that helps women prevent and heal diastasis recti, a common issue in pregnancy. This program is designed to help during the prenatal period before birth as well as afterward for healing after childbirth.
Rachelle has developed her skills in the area of pediatric pelvic floor dysfunction to treat issues such as withholding, constipation, and bed wetting. She has also found a passion in helping the peri- and menopausal woman. Rachelle hopes that she can help women with pain, sexual dysfunction, weakness or incontinence, especially when women have not been heard by other medical providers.
Rachelle is a board member of the Long Island Doula Association (LIDA) and a member of The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Alexandra Unger, PT, DPT
Alexandra believes in educating and empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery to achieve lasting relief of symptoms. She loves helping women gain a deeper understanding of how the pelvic floor functions with the rest of the body, especially in relation to pregnancy and postpartum changes. Alexandra believes strongly in the mind-body connection as it pertains to healing. Her orthopedic background and pelvic health experience allow her a combined perspective to provide holistic, customized treatment for each patient.
Alexandra received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Long Island University and has completed extensive training in the areas of pelvic health, orthopedics and manual therapy.
Breeanna Donovan, PT, DPT, ATC
Breeanna received both her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. With extensive experience working in the outpatient orthopedic setting, Breeanna specializes in a manual treatment approach to physical therapy. She has a passion for designing individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of her patients, with the ultimate goal of restoring normal daily function. Throughout her career, Breeanna has gained valuable experience working with a diverse clientele with diagnoses including acute/chronic pain, pregnant/postpartum, post-surgical, neurological, and sports injuries. She takes pride in her adaptability, having successfully taken on the challenge of patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric as well as athletes from pee-wee soccer players to Olympic medalists. Breeanna is enthusiastic about pelvic floor rehabilitation and is thrilled to be a member of Lotus PT.
Alyssa Febbraro, PT, DPT
Alyssa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Stony Brook University in 2016 then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro College in 2019. Since graduating, Alyssa has worked predominantly in the outpatient setting with patients with a wide variety of diagnoses including orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, acute/chronic pain and vestibular dysfunction. Alyssa also has experience in the acute care setting working as part of a multidisciplinary team to treat patients following joint replacement surgeries. It wasn’t until the birth of her son in 2021 that Alyssa discovered her passion for pelvic health. Personally experiencing pregnancy and post-partum related changes in her own body enlightened her to the importance of pelvic health for overall physical function and well-being. Alyssa is motivated to transform the lives of her patients with pelvic floor dysfunction by helping them regain control of their bodies. Alyssa is excited to be a part of the Lotus Physical Therapy team!
Rachel Guida, PT, DPT
Rachel earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York Institute of Technology in 2020. While in school, she performed a clinical rotation at Lotus Physical Therapy where she was introduced to pelvic floor physical therapy as an effective means to treat pelvic dysfunctions. Since graduating, Rachel has specialized in pelvic floor women's health to help treat those with bowel, bladder, sexual dysfunctions, as well as prenatal and postpartum care. Rachel is passionate about normalizing the conversation surrounding pelvic floor dysfunctions such as urinary urgency, prolapse, and pelvic pain. She emphasizes patient education as a crucial part of her treatment approach. She loves helping her patients restore their own wellness and regain confidence in themselves again. Rachel believes that kindness, empathy, and communication are the keys to effective treatment. She is certified in reformer Pilates and loves to implement Pilates training into her treatments as well.
Rachel is thrilled to be working for Lotus Physical Therapy!
Anna Powers, DPT
Anna received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Husson University in 2016, and became a certified lymphedema therapist in 2017. She is a certified Pilates instructor through Polestar Pilates and has completed extensive training in women's health through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Anna specializes in providing comprehensive care using a combination of manual techniques, education, and exercise to address the unique needs and goals of each individual. Anna’s personal struggles with infertility and endometriosis has fueled her drive to always seek out answers and she feels this journey has allowed her to become a better advocate for her patients. She hopes to educate and empower her patients to feel more confident in themselves throughout their healing process.
